I started playing the piano when I was seven and worked my way through the Associated Board grades to Grade 8. I began working for a diploma after university, but although life and children deflected me from my piano studies, I never stopped playing the piano. I played for myself of course, but I was also roped in to play the piano for the playgroup nativity play, Gorseland School choir and Kesgrave Scouts Gang show. Five years ago, I decided to go back to having lessons, and in 2015 achieved my long-deferred ambition and passed the ATCL diploma with distinction. Playing the piano continues to be a great source of pleasure and personal satisfaction. I am continuing my studies and I hope to take my LTCL in 2019.
